MONTREAL, Sept. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Starting September 11, travelers in Quebec will have a new way to discover, book and connect their intercity bus journeys across the province and beyond.
Through a strategic marketing, digital distribution and ticketing collaboration between FlixBus and Autobus Maheux, customers will be able to book Autobus Maheux’s existing Montréal–Laval–Gatineau–Ottawa service through the FlixBus website and app. They can expect a seamless digital booking experience, affordable fares and connections to more than 1,800 destinations across Canada and the wider North American region through the FlixBus network.
Autobus Maheux remains the operator of the Montréal–Laval–Gatineau–Ottawa service, which offers four daily trips in each direction, seven days a week, connecting Montréal, Laval, Gatineau and Ottawa through six convenient stops, including Gare d’autocars de Montréal, Metro Cartier, Station de la Cité, Place du Portage, Waller Street and St. Laurent.
The collaboration brings together Autobus Maheux’s nearly 70 years of transportation expertise in Quebec with FlixBus’ travel technology platform and extensive North American network to give passengers greater visibility of travel options, convenient online booking and expanded access to destinations beyond the Montréal–Laval–Gatineau–Ottawa corridor.
“Making affordable intercity travel more accessible is at the core of everything we do,” said Kai Boysan, Chief Executive Officer of Flix North America. “Quebec has a strong tradition of intercity bus transportation, and we’re excited to work with a trusted, longstanding operator like Autobus Maheux to help bring its service to more travelers. By combining their deep local expertise with our digital platform and extensive network, we’re giving people more choice in how they move around Quebec and connect to destinations across North America.”
Founded in 1958 and based in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Autobus Maheux is one of Quebec’s most established passenger transportation companies, providing scheduled intercity, charter, school and workforce transportation services throughout the province. The company launched its Montréal–Laval–Gatineau–Ottawa service in 2022 in response to growing demand for reliable intercity transportation connecting Greater Montréal, Laval, the Outaouais region and Ottawa.
“For nearly 70 years, our focus has been on safely and reliably transporting people and serving the communities that depend on us,” said Yannick Goupil, Chief Technology Officer, Compliance and Business Strategy Officer at Groupe Autobus Maheux. “This collaboration with FlixBus allows more travelers to discover and book our Montréal–Laval–Gatineau–Ottawa service through a world-class digital platform while connecting seamlessly to destinations across North America. It enhances the visibility and accessibility of our service while building on the transportation expertise that has defined Autobus Maheux for decades.”

Since entering the Canadian market in 2022, FlixBus has rapidly expanded its network across the country, serving communities throughout Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
The collaboration with Autobus Maheux marks the first time the FlixBus platform has been available for domestic intercity travel within Quebec. By combining Autobus Maheux’s local transportation expertise with FlixBus’ technology and distribution capabilities, the collaboration creates new opportunities for travelers to connect journeys between Quebec, Ontario and destinations throughout the broader FlixBus network.
